The staff at the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon board office will donate no less than $9,208 to five Greater Sudbury charities to help support those in need this Christmas season.

On December 2, 2020, the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon and the Association des enseignantes et enseignants franco-ontariens de l’Ontario – suppléants du Moyen-Nord catholique (Unité 61) reached a three-year tentative agreement. The ratification meeting took place on December 13, 2020.

December 10, 2020

The Ontario Ministry of Education recently announced that it will grant the funding required for the purchase of property that will serve for the construction of a new French-language Catholic school in Hanmer / Val Thérèse. Having already received the capital funding for the construction of this new school, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon will be able to proceed with its project to build a new school for students currently enrolled at École Notre-Dame (Hanmer), École St-Joseph (Hanmer) and École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse). The CSC Nouvelon hopes to make public the site selected for this project in a few weeks.

December 7, 2020

During its inaugural December 4, 2020 board meeting, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon school trustees re-elected Mr. André Bidal as President for the 2020-2021 school year. Ms. Suzanne Salituri was elected to serve as Vice-President for the same term.

Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon (CSC Nouvelon), the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB), and Our Children, Our Future/ Nos Enfants, Notre Avenir (OCOF/NENA) wish to inform all families that Espanola’s long-awaited new educational and childcare build will be available for occupancy in the spring of 2021. The new joint facility, located at 301 Church Street on the site of the former Sacred Heart Catholic School and former St-Louis de France Catholic Church properties, will house École catholique La Renaissance, Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School, and Our Children, Our Future Daycare / Garderie Nos Enfants, Notre Avenir

Due to social distancing measures, École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault, located at 600 North Street in Sault Ste. Marie, has chosen to transport this year’s open house event to the living rooms of grade 8 students. As a result, these students and their parents are invited to participate in the high school's virtual open house on Wednesday, December 2, at 6 p.m. Recognized for its hospitality, École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault will offer a pizza dinner that each participating family can enjoy in the comfort of their own home during the broadcast of the virtual open house on the school's Facebook page. As part of this activity, students will be offered a virtual tour of the school as well as a presentation that will allow them to get to know the teachers, meet high school students recognized for their leadership and become familiar with the various programs and activities offered by the school.
