The health and safety of students and employees remains CSC Nouvelon’s top priority. Due to the declaration of a second COVID-19 case at Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) by Public Health Sudbury and Districts and in order to ensure the safety of students and staff, Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) will remain closed until Friday, March 19, 2021. At the moment, students are expected to resume their in-class learning on Monday, March 22, 2021. If this return date should change, the CSC Nouvelon will inform parents of details.
École Saint-Joseph (Wawa) closed until March 9, 2021

The health and safety of students and employees remains CSC Nouvelon’s top priority. Due to frozen pipes in various parts of École Saint-Joseph (Wawa), the school will be closed for all students from Kindergarten to grade 12 on Friday, March 5, as well as Monday, March 8, 2021.
School boards work together to co-ordinate voluntary testing for COVID-19

Voluntary asymptomatic testing for COVID-19 will soon be offered to in-person learners, their households and staff in schools. School boards will share the dates, times and locations of COVID-19 clinics with their school communities. The clinics will also be open to families who have children in childcare and before and after school programs at the testing site.

École Alliance St-Joseph closed until March 12, 2021

Due to the declaration of a COVID-19 case at École Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford) by Public Health Sudbury and Districts and in order to ensure the safety of students and staff, École Alliance St-Joseph will remain closed until Friday, March 12, 2021. At the moment, students are expected to resume their in-class learning on Monday, March 15, 2021. If this return date should change, the CSC Nouvelon will inform parents of details.
Ongoing Kindergarten registration at CSC Nouvelon schools

Parents wishing to register their child in a French-language Kindergarten program still have time to discover Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon’s elementary schools. Due to the social distancing measures put in place to counter the spread of COVID-19, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon schools will offer families information on the Kindergarten program, a virtual tour and personalized support. Parents ofchildren born in 2017 who will be attending school in September 2021 are invited to communicate with their selected school.

Amended opening of joint educational and childcare facility in Espanola

Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon (CSC Nouvelon), the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB), and Our Children, Our Future (OCOF) wish to inform all families that Espanola’s new educational and childcare build will be available for occupancy on April 19, 2021. The new joint facility, located on Church and Mead Streets in Espanola, will house École catholique La Renaissance, Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School, and Our Children, Our Future Daycare / Garderie Nos Enfants, Notre Avenir.
