During its inaugural December 4, 2020 board meeting, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon school trustees re-elected Mr. André Bidal as President for the 2020-2021 school year. Ms. Suzanne Salituri was elected to serve as Vice-President for the same term.
“I take great pride in being selected to once again represent the CSC Nouvelon. Our vision statement, Thriving French-language Catholic students, proud and ready to take their place in society (Des élèves épanouis fiers d’être catholiques et francophones, prêts à prendre leur place dans la société), clearly expresses our mandate and reminds us of the added value provided by a French-language Catholic education,” stated CSC Nouvelon President Mr. André Bidal. “With the support of a great team of trustees, I am committed to pursuing the outstanding work accomplished to ensure a high quality of education for students in all CSC Nouvelon schools.”
For his part, Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education and Secretary-Treasurer at the CSC Nouvelon, expressed his satisfaction that the CSC Nouvelon will benefit from the leadership, commitment and expertise of André Bidal and Suzanne Salituri. “These two leaders have been devoted school trustees for several years now. Their exceptional leadership abilities and passion for French-language Catholic education will serve them well as they lead our board. They will be steadfast in representing the interests of our Catholic supporters at the local, provincial and national levels.”
Located in the heart of a dynamic region with a strong Francophone tradition, the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon stands out among Francophone school boards in Ontario and in French Canada. The area served by the CSC Nouvelon includes the communities of Chapleau, Dubreuilville, Espanola, Greater Sudbury, Hornepayne, Michipicoten, North Shore, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury East.
The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,600 students enrolled in 27 elementary schools, a virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
