The staff at the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon board office will donate no less than $8,404 to five Greater Sudbury charities to help support those in need this Christmas season.

During its inaugural December 3, 2021 board meeting, Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon school trustees elected Ms. Suzanne Salituri as President for the 2021-2022 school year. Ms. Louise Essiembre was elected to serve as Vice-President for the same term.

Due to the health and safety measures in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, École secondaire Notre-Dame-du-Sault, located at 600 North Street in Sault Ste. Marie, has chosen to transport this year’s open house event to the living rooms of grade 8 students. As a result, these students and their parents are invited to participate in the high school's virtual open house on Thursday, December 9, at 6 p.m. The virtual event will be broadcast on the school's Facebook page.

On Friday, November 26, École catholique Félix-Ricard (Sudbury) will launch its 50th anniversary celebration activities. Due to the COVID-19 measures in place, the school will begin the celebrations with a fun-filled day for students and school staff to allow them to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their school.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is pleased to announce that the purchase of the property that will serve for the construction of a new French-language Catholic school in Hanmer / Val Thérèse has been finalized. The selected property, measuring 16,24 acres (6.572 hectares), is located in Val Thérèse on Municipal Road 80 (formerly Highway 69 North) at the intersection of Shirley Avenue.

Sébastien Whissell, a graduate from École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford), is among the three Canadian students to receive the Paul-Charbonneau Scholarship during the annual convention of the Fédération nationale des conseils scolaires francophones (FNCSF). Valued at $1,000, this scholarship is presented by the Fondation Éduquer en français to a high school graduate from each of the three regions of Canada (Atlantic, Ontario and West/North). This scholarship, awarded for the first time to a Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon graduate, aims to encourage the pursuit of post-secondary studies in French in a minority setting in Canada, while rewarding academic success, leadership skills and community involvement.
