In September 2015 at the age of 26, Renée Benoit decided that she wanted to obtain her Ontario Secondary School Diploma before the end of March 2016.
She went to the Carrefour Options+, the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario’s alternative secondary school. She brought with her a positive attitude, specific expectations and a clear vision of the goals she had set for herself. With support from the school’s guidance team, Renée was able to plan out a realistic path to finishing her studies by the desired deadline.
Married in 2013, Renée has a full weekly work load and is the mother of two little girls, aged 3 years and 18 months. The challenge she faced was a big one, but through the support from staff at Carrefour Options+, she persevered and achieved her dream of earning an Ontario Secondary School Diploma!
The Carrefour Options+ team sincerely congratulates Renée for reaching her goal. They also wish her great success in her postsecondary studies which she would like to pursue at the college level in September 2016.
