The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) and the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) reached a tentative local agreement on Saturday, April 16, 2016. Both parties agree to ratify the deal by April 27, 2016.
At the CSCNO, the OSSTF unit includes office staff, early childhood and special needs educator as well as lunch supervisors.
"We thank all parties involved in the negotiations. Both negotiating teams were greatly motivated by a common desire to reach a local agreement, which included fair and equitable working conditions that reflect the priorities of both parties," stated CSCNO President André Bidal.
Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, CSCNO Director of Education, wishes to thank members of both committees who worked diligently throughout the negotiating process in order to reach this agreement.
The terms of the local agreement remain confidential until it is ratified. The agreement will be valid until August 2017.
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is recognized for its excellence. With some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools, the CSCNO offers a positive learning environment from early childhood to adult education.
