April 25, 2016

The creative team from l’Écho d’un peuple will offer workshops and present its Fier et métissé show in various Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) elementary schools, from Tuesday, April 26 to Wednesday, May 4. Schools welcoming l’Écho d’un peuple will enable students to live a memorable day of Franco-Ontarian pride and Aboriginal awareness.

While enabling students to experience a day of learning activities, a key element in this event will be the direct participation of grade 6 to 8 students, who will become cast members in the show and take to the stage. At each school, the Écho d’un peuple creators will prepare the show in the morning with the older children, who will then go on stage and perform it for their fellow students in the afternoon. The day of activities will also include dynamic workshops on the theme of Franco-Ontarian and Métis pride and the French presence in Ontario. Teachers will also gain access to valuable teaching tools.

The following CSCNO schools will be hosting the Écho d’un peuple day of learning activities and the Fier et métissé! learning activities and show.

École St-Joseph (Sudbury):Tuesday, April 26

École Saint-Joseph (Espanola):Wednesday, April 27
