During the June 23, 2016 meeting of its board of trustees, the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) approved the appointment of Mrs. Lyne Breton as Director of Learning for Kindergarten to grade 6 as well as the appointment of Mr. Hassan Azzi as Principal at École Georges Vanier (Elliot Lake) and École Sainte-Anne (Spanish).
“Mrs. Lyne Breton, who served in the past as vice-Principal at École Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford), is well appreciated for her leadership in the educational field. As a teacher at É.s.c. Jeunesse-Nord, Mr. Hassan Azzi greatly contributed to the vitality of his school and to French Catholic education in Blind River. We are pleased that Mrs. Breton and Mr. Azzi will share their expertise in the area of learning,” stated Mr. André Bidal, CSCNO President.
Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education at the CSCNO, added: “Our Directors and school principals act as catalysts for our Catholic professional learning community. We greatly value the capabilities and leadership skills that enable them to engage our students and staff in raising their standards.”
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,800 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
