Mr. André Bidal, Chair of the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO), and Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education of the CSCNO, congratulate the 2014-2015 graduates who were recently awarded the prestigious Governor General’s Academic Medal. For more than 140 years, the Governor General’s Academic Medals have recognized the outstanding scholastic achievements of students in Canada. They are awarded to the student graduating with the highest average from their secondary school.

“We take great pride in celebrating the academic excellence of this group of CSCNO graduates. Having already benefitted of a quality education taught in our Francophone and Catholic schools, they are now ready to make their mark in Ontario at the postsecondary level,” stated Mr. André Bidal, Chair of the CSCNO.

“A reflection of the quality and commitment of our staff, this success also highlights the community’s support in offering students a Catholic Francophone education that is recognized for its quality,” stated Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, CSCNO Director of Education. “These students are part of a select group of outstanding Canadian citizens to have received this award.”

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
