On January 9, the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) presented during a public meeting the feasibility study and evaluation of the various French language Catholic school site options for its school communities in Val Thérèse (École Ste-Thérèse) and Hanmer (École St-Joseph and École Notre-Dame).
The CSCNO evaluated eleven school site options on existing sites and a new site. The selected option, either a construction or a modernization project, is conditional to the CSCNO’s securing funding from the Ministry of Education.

The CSCNO encourages the school communities to share their opinion and submit comments by January 31. Comments can be relayed to the principals at École St-Joseph, École Ste-Thérèse and École Notre-Dame or by email at .
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) operates three elementary schools in Hanmer and Val Thérèse. École Notre-Dame (Hamner) is a JK to grade 8 school while École St-Joseph (Hanmer) has students from JK to grade 3 and École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) counts grade 4 to 8 students.
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
