On Thursday, January 9, at 6:30 p.m., the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) will hold a public meeting at École Ste-Thérèse (4617 Ste-Thérèse St, Val Thérèse). The purpose of this session is to present the feasibility study and evaluation of the various French language Catholic school site options in Val Thérèse and Hanmer.  All options are conditional to the CSCNO’s securing funding from the Ministry of Education.

The CSCNO has evaluated its students’ needs as well as its school facilities for École St-Joseph, École Ste-Thérèse and École Notre-Dame. As part of this process, the CSCNO undertook a feasibility study of as well as the evaluation of eleven school site options in Hanmer and Val Thérèse, including the construction of a new school as well as the modernization of existing buildings.

Parents, students, school staff as well as members of the community are invited to this meeting to share their opinion and make recommendations

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) operates four elementary schools in Valley East. École Notre-Dame (Hamner) is a JK to grade 8 school while École St-Joseph (Hanmer) has students from JK to grade 3 and École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) counts grade 4 to 8 students. The area is also served by École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron) and École secondaire catholique l’Horizon (Val Caron).

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
