Mr. Marcel Montpellier, Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) President, and Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, CSCNO Director of Education, are pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Danielle Venne as Director of Learning for Grades 7 to 12.

In her capacity as Director of Learning for Grades 7 to 12, Danielle Venne will be responsible for managing various board-wide learning responsibilities at the intermediate and senior levels. In collaboration with the CSCNO management team, her work will be focused on student success, cultural identity of schools and staff, participatory leadership, parent and community engagement as well as the institutional vitality.

Mrs. Venne launched her teaching career at École secondaire catholique l’Héritage (Sudbury) in 1987 and worked as a teacher and head of the computer department. With this expertise in hand, she then served as learning advisor and learning technology integration coordinator from 1999 to 2010. Since 2010, Mrs. Venne has been Interim Director of Learning at the CSCNO.

"The expertise acquired by Mrs. Venne in our schools and throughout the CSCNO is highly pertinent," stated CSCNO President Marcel Montpellier. "With more than 25 years of experience in the field of education and in the integration of learning technology in the classroom, Danielle will hold an important leadership position and help the CSCNO to continue to provide a French Catholic education that is recognized for its quality and vitality."

"Danielle benefits from a broad understanding of the varied education components associated with the secondary level, technology, special education and cultural identity learning," explained CSCNO Director of Education Lyse-Anne Papineau. "Convinced of the importance of meeting the needs of all of our students, she will contribute to the success of our school population and strengthen our network of French Catholic schools."

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with more than 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
