The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon recently unveiled the identity of two staff members who are being recognized for their exceptional contributions: Ms. Sherry McAllister, teacher at École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford), and Ms. Nicole Paquette, graphic designer in the Department of Communications and External Relations. This distinction, which is awarded to two employees each year, recognizes individuals who truly stand out in their role.

Sherry McAllister is recognized for her commitment to student success as well the vitality and reputation of ÉSC Champlain. Recognized as a Francophone and Catholic role model, this teacher plays a leadership role in several cultural and pastoral activities at her school. Dedicated to helping students attain success, Ms. McAllister takes into account their kinesthetic needs and offers significant support so that they can thrive in various programs including Cooperative Education (COOP), the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP), Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) and the Dual Credit Recognition Program. Through her connections with several employers in Chelmsford and beyond, Ms. McAllister enables students to gain relevant experience throughout their studies and career paths. 

Nicole Paquette is appreciated for her creative skills as well as her participation in cultural and pastoral activities at CSC Nouvelon. Recognized for her contributions to the school board branding and marketing efforts, this graphic designer invests a great deal of passion in designing artwork and promotional tools. For nearly 20 years, she has produced multiple creatives in support of projects put forward by the educational and administrative teams. With her exemplary service-orientated approach, Ms. Paquette provides schools with personalized tools which enables them to promote their students, while also supporting the school board in its recruitment and well-being campaigns. Creative and committed to teamwork, Nicole Paquette contributes to the vitality of CSC Nouvelon and its schools. 

“It is extremely important for us to honour the exceptional individuals who contribute to the high standards of Catholic French-language education offered in our schools,” stated Ms. Suzanne Salituri, CSC Nouvelon Board Chair.

“We are very lucky to have employees like Sherry and Nicole who give themselves, heart and soul, for our students and our schools,” added Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education and Secretary Treasurer at the CSC Nouvelon.

 

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,100 students enrolled in 27 elementary, 1 virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
