The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Julie Lamoureux as Principal at École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) starting on August 18, 2021.

Working in the field of education since 1999, Ms. Julie Lamoureux has accumulated relevant experience in various French-language Catholic schools of the Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir in Whitby, Barrie and Penetanguishene. Having a specialization in the teaching of mathematics and science, she was responsible for planning and facilitating numeracy interventions within the CSC MonAvenir. Ms. Lamoureux, who held the position of Principal at École catholique Saint-Louis (Penetanguishene) since September 2019, also served as Vice-Principal at École catholique Frère-André (Barrie) from 2015 to 2019. Julie Lamoureux, a former Elliot Lake resident, completed some of her postsecondary education at Laurentian University. 

“Ms. Lamoureux’s knowledge and experience within Francophone schools as well as her ties with Northern Ontario will make her a great asset in her school. Our principals and vice-principals play a key role in our Catholic professional learning community,” stated Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education at CSC Nouvelon. “We greatly value the capabilities and leadership skills that enable them to engage our students and staff in achieving their full potential.”

 

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,400 students enrolled in 27 elementary, 1 virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
