In order to support students during the virtual learning period, the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon contacted the families of students in order to determine what learning tools (iPads and laptops) was required by the students. Since the return to learning on Monday January 4, 2021, CSC Nouvelon has distributed close to 1,000 technological tools to elementary students across its territory. Some families went to board office to pick up their iPad or laptop, the majority were distributed through schools. With the recent deployment of some 1,600 laptops in its secondary schools, high school students already have access to a laptop. CSC Nouvelon expects to complete the deployment of technological learning tools by the end of June 2021 thus ensuring that all students from grade 1 to 12 have access to an iPad or laptop. The CSC remains committed to supporting its families during these exceptional times.
The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,400 students enrolled in 27 elementary schools, a virtual school and 10 secondary schools.
