On Friday, May 31, École secondaire catholique l’Horizon (Val Caron) will be holding their annual Festival des Aigles to celebrate its successes during the 2018–2019 school year that is coming to a close. The festival will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at ÉSC l’Horizon, 1650 Valleyview Rd in Val Caron.
The festivities are to begin with a comedy performance by Stef Paquette from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Grades 7 and 8 students from ESC Horizon’s feeder schools: École Notre-Dame (Hanmer), École Ste-Thérèse (Val Thérèse) and École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron), will then join Horizon’s own students from 11 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. for an afternoon full of outdoor activities that include inflatable games, water games and henna tattoos. Several food vendors will also be on site, serving lunch and snacks to participating students. It is sure to be a fun-filled day that will promote socialization among students from all participating schools in a festive atmosphere.
The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students enrolled in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
