In just four years, Isabelle Chevrier has dedicated more than 450 hours to volunteer work, participating in numerous cultural and pastoral activities in her community. Isabelle has often helped out at the Sudbury Soup Kitchen and participated in many fundraising activities, such as the homeless for a night activity and the collection of non-perishable food items for Christmas hampers. She also travelled to the Dominican Republic in 2016 as part of a humanitarian project to help build a new bakery on that island. This winter, Isabelle will participate in another humanitarian project, this time in Guatemala. She was also elected Prime Minister of her school’s Student Parliament, due to her leadership qualities and her dedication.

“Our students are acclaimed for their volunteer contributions and community engagement,” stated Ms. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education at the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO). “Isabelle is a remarkable young lady who has greatly contributed to improving the educational environment at Champlain and the overall quality of community life. We take pride in her dedication and are pleased to learn that her efforts have been recognized.”
