Holocaust survivor Mrs. Eva Olsson will deliver an anti-bullying message as part of Remembrance Day activities, and speak out against hate and intolerance on Tuesday, November 11, at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium of École secondaire catholique l’Horizon (1650 Valleyview Road, Val Caron). While there will be no charge for attendance, participants are invited to bring a can of food, which will be donated to a local food bank.

As a Holocaust victim and survivor, Mrs. Olsson will share her personal story lived during the Second World War, when Hungary was under the control of the Nazi regime. Increasingly, her message focuses on the importance of standing up to bullying and refusing to be a bystander to injustice. Eva Olsson uses her life experiences, primarily in the concentration camps of the Holocaust, to illustrate the power of hate and the importance of standing up against forces of racism, bigotry and intolerance.

Since1996, Eva Olsson has spoken to over one million people in schools and churches. She has also presented at Queens Park and before the United Nations.
