Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) President Marcel Montpellier and Director of Education Lyse-Anne Papineau are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Stéphane Charbonneau to the position of Assistant Director of Accountability and Efficiency. Stéphane brings a wealth of varied experience in teaching and school administration to the position, which he will assume in mid-August, 2013.

In his role as Assistant Director of Accountability and Efficiency, Stéphane Charbonneau will coordinate the implementation of the CSCNO’s accountability framework that includes a number of performance indicators related to the multi-year strategic plan and the realization of board-wide priorities. In collaboration with the heads of other departments, he will develop and implement the CSCNO’s annual Board improvement plan.

Mr. Charbonneau began his teaching career at École St-Charles Borromée (St-Charles) in 1993. He then taught at Saint-Joseph (Espanola), Sainte-Anne (Spanish), Georges Vanier (Elliot Lake) and St-Antoine (Noëlville) schools before taking up the position of primary and middle school academic adviser in mathematics (2003-2004) then academic adviser in media-based and computer learning (2005-2007). Since 2007, Mr. Charbonneau has been academic adviser in information management for student performance improvement.

“Mr. Charbonneau has acquired highly relevant experience in our schools,” said CSCNO President, Marcel Montpellier. “With 20 years of experience in the field of education, Stéphane will hold an important leadership role and help the CSCNO to continue to provide a French Catholic education that is recognized for its quality and vitality.”
