The Government of Ontario recently released the 2023 student graduation rate for the province’s Catholic and public school boards. The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon takes great pride in the fact that 96.3% of its students complete the requirements for their high school diploma in five years, with 91.5% receiving their diploma in four years. The CSC Nouvelon students’ graduation rate is among the best of all school boards in Ontario (Anglophone and Francophone) and is the highest among all school boards operating in Northern Ontario. The CSC Nouvelon has the 2nd highest five-year graduation rate in Ontario and is 8th overall for its four-year graduation rate.

The CSC Nouvelon recognizes that its Catholic secondary school students consistently achieve this level of excellence. Since 2012, the five-year graduation rate of CSC Nouvelon students has systematically hovered around 92% or higher. The 2023 provincial average for graduation within five years of starting secondary school was 89.5%, while 84.3% of students received their diplomas in four years.

“We fully believe that our French-language and Catholic school environment along with the total commitment of our teaching staff and families are valuable assets. While meeting the diverse needs of its students, CSC Nouvelon shines in its ability to provide a learning environment that nurtures student success and personal excellence,” added CSC Nouvelon President Ms. Suzanne Salituri.

“A high school diploma is a tremendous asset in today’s working world, now more than ever,” explained Mr. Paul Henry, Director of Education and Secretary Treasurer at CSC Nouvelon. “We are therefore very pleased to see that thanks to our winning strategies and dedicated staff, CSC Nouvelon is a springboard to success for the students we welcome in our secondary schools.”
