The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is pleased to offer once again its Centre des petits program at ten schools in Greater Sudbury starting on the week of September 16. This program seeks to support the future academic success of preschoolers. This free program enables youngsters between two and four years of age to play with their friends, parents or guardians while improving their French-language skills.

The program will be offered twice a week by an educator until the end of June in the following CSC Nouvelon schools: École Ste-Marie (Azilda), École Alliance St-Joseph (Chelmsford), École Notre-Dame de la Merci (Coniston), École St-Étienne (Dowling), École St-Augustin (Garson), École Notre-Dame (Hanmer), École Notre-Dame-du-Sault (Sault Ste. Marie), École catholique Félix-Ricard (Sudbury), École St-Denis (Sudbury), École St-Dominique (Sudbury) and École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron).

The Centre des petits will support parents in their efforts to prepare their child to start kindergarten in a French-language school. This program will enable your child:

  • to express themselves and play and learn in French through songs, rhymes, prayer, stories, games and a variety of activities;
  • to develop their creativity and imagination;
  • to develop self-esteem in a Catholic environment;
  • to learn at an individual pace;
  • to become initiated to school life and environment; and
  • to develop and maintain relationships with future classroom friends.
