The Centre de santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury (CSCGS), Conseil scolaire du Grand Nord and Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon are proud to collaborate to present an exceptional art exhibition as part of St-Jean Baptiste festivities in Sudbury. This collaboration aims to highlight the talent and artistic diversity of Francophone youth in the area.
This art exhibit, which will take place from June 3 to 24 at the CSCGS, will showcase the talents of students from École secondaire Château-Jeunesse (Longlac), École secondaire Macdonald-Cartier (Sudbury), École secondaire Hanmer (Hanmer), École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford) and École secondaire catholique l’Horizon (Val Caron). To kick off this initiative, the young artists will have the opportunity to meet with artistic trio Philipow 3 during a workshop presentation on June 3 at CSCGS.
Philipow 3 is a group of talented artists comprised of Ginette (mother) and her daughters Jennie and Chloé. They will share their joint passion, their inspirations and their diversified expertise with the young artists from CS du Grand Nord and CSC Nouvelon.
The public is invited to encourage the young artists by discovering their work which will be displayed at CSCGS until June 24. The CSCGS is located at 19 Frood Road in Sudbury and the hours of operations are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for the community to discover and appreciate the emerging talent from young Francophone artists. Wandering through the different art pieces, visitors will have the chance to dive into a world of artistic expression reflecting the diverse perspectives and techniques explored by the students. We invite all art enthusiasts and curious minds to come admire these unique creations and support local talent by visiting this exhibit.
Additionally, some pieces will be showcased at La Place des Arts du Grand Sudbury on June 22 as part as the launch of La Slagues’s 60th anniversary festivities. The public will be able to discover the remarkable work of these young artists in another inspiring framework. La Place des Arts offers a dynamic cultural space where the works of art will be enjoyed by a larger public, thus reinforcing the impact and reach of this exhibit.
