This launch is part of the Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon’s project to transform its school libraries to across-the-board learning areas. Those attending the launch will be able to witness the several benefits linked to this transformation, notably the integration of new technologies such as a three dimensional printer and iPads, the addition of several new books and digital resources as well as the modernization of the layout that encourages team work in a supportive atmosphere. This transformation, which takes in account the reality of the new digital age, seeks to promote reading, reflection and collaboration both in a physical and virtual learning environment.

The CSC Nouvelon has integrated new learning areas in 21 of its schools to date and will be adding two schools to this list in the next academic year. The goal is to have libraries for the digital age in all CSC Nouvelon schools to ensure students are developing the skills needed to succeed in the 21st century.

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students enrolled in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
