Everyone likes a good spaghetti dinner and it has been said that pasta tastes even better when the event also lends a helping hand to local community organizations. On Thursday, November 30, École secondaire catholique l’Horizon invites everyone to partake in its scrumptious spaghetti dinner at 1650 Valleyview Road in Val Caron.

The meal will take place at the school itself, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., with tickets costing only $7 for students and children, and $10 for adults. All proceeds will be donated to ALS research, the Elizabeth Centre in Val Caron and Horizon’s student council. In addition to great spaghetti, the evening will also feature over 15 local vendors, allowing diners to do a little Christmas shopping and support local businesses. A child care service will also be available during the dinner, with numerous activities available for the enjoyment of youngsters.

Come join us to discuss “Education and Children with Special Needs”. This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about the local educational programs for children with special needs and the transition planning that occurs. Sometimes the planning and entry process to the first year of school can be a very challenging time. We want to ensure that families receive the information needed to make an informed decision about their child’s education. It is also an opportunity to meet other parents who are also preparing for this very important transition in their child’s life.
