As the school year 2018-2019 is fast approaching, the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Chantal Lafleur as Principal at École Ste- Thérèse (Val Thérèse), Ms. Michelle Labelle as Vice-Principal at École St-Denis (Sudbury) and Ms. Jocelyne Leclair as Vice-Principal at Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury).

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with the Sudbury District Sports Club that will see a new sports bubble built on the property of École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur in Sudbury. The proposed new all-season sports facility will house two synthetic turf soccer fields and operate year-round.

As in past years, young basketball enthusiasts from Greater Sudbury are able to fine-tune their skills during the Franco-Basket Camp organized by the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO). Some 50 children between the ages 8 to 13 years are taking part in this camp, from Monday, July 9, to Friday, July 13, at Collège Notre-Dame, located at 100 Lévis St, in Sudbury.

Media representatives are cordially invited to attend the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) elementary school track and field competitions. Some 700 students from over 15 Greater Sudbury schools will gather on the Laurentian University athletic track to take part in this annual friendly competition. Grade 7 and 8 students will compete on Wednesday, June 20, whereas the Friday, June 22, competition will attract grade 4, 5 and 6 students.

The construction of two new Espanola Catholic schools was officially launched earlier today. Numerous dignitaries, students, school staff and community members gathered on the future site of the schools to highlight the beginning of this much-anticipated project.

WHAT ?               Official ground-breaking of the new Catholic schools in Espanola

Members of the media are invited to attend the official ground-breaking ceremony for the new building in Espanola that will house two new schools: an English Catholic school (kindergarten to grade 8) operated by the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board (HSCDSB) and a French language Catholic school (kindergarten to grade 12) operated by the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO). The new schools will welcome students from Sacred Heart Catholic Elementary School, École Saint-Joseph and École secondaire catholique Franco-Ouest in September 2020.
