The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Ginette Castro as Vice-Principal at École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford) starting on November 25, 2019.

Having taught in the Ottawa region for the Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE) since 2008, Ms. Castro is specialized in special needs education and student guidance. Working at Collège catholique Franco-Ouest since 2010, Ginette Castro has accumulated relevant experience in the field of guidance, continuing education and teaching. A native of Chelmsford, Ms. Castro graduated from École secondaire catholique Champlain.

“Ms. Castro’s knowledge and experience, as well as her links with Chelmsford and the CSC Nouvelon will make her a great asset in her new role. Our principals and vice-principals play a key role in our Catholic professional learning community,” stated Ms. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education at the CSC Nouvelon. “We greatly value the capabilities and leadership skills that enable them to engage our students and staff in raising their standards.”

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,700 students enrolled in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
