The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon is pleased to announce the following appointment of Ms. Mélanie Lamoureux at Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury) for the 2019-2020 school year.
Having taught in Greater Sudbury since 2001 and specialized in special needs education, Ms. Lamoureux has been a guest speaker at several education congresses and seminars. In her role of learning consultant among the TacTic provincial team of the Centre franco-ontarien de ressources pédagogiques since 2017, Mélanie Lamoureux accumulated teacher-training experience in elementary and secondary schools across Northern Ontario. She also sat in several Education and Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) committees’ in preparation of the grades 6 and 9 mathematics testing.
“Ms. Lamoureux’ knowledge and experience will make her a great asset in her new role. Our principals and vice-principals play a key role in our Catholic professional learning community,” stated Ms. Lyse-Anne Papineau, Director of Education at the CSC Nouvelon. “We greatly value the capabilities and leadership skills that enable them to engage our students and staff in raising their standards.”
The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon offers a French-language Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSC Nouvelon provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 6,700 students enrolled in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
