Costco Wholesale will donate 420 back packs to the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) on Thursday, September 21, at 2 p.m., at École St-Joseph, Sudbury, 100 Bruyère St., Sudbury. The back packs, filled with school supplies, will be distributed to the CSCNO’s 27 elementary schools, who will ensure their distribution to students in need.

This initiative began when CSCNO teacher Mrs. Johanne Gauthier was looking for a way to further contribute to the success of students in her community. She decided to reach out to Costco to see if they could help with a donation. A few months later, the CSCNO is now getting ready for a very big Costco delivery of 420 back packs. Johanne Gauthier’s hard work, paired with Costco’s generosity, will surely put a smile on 420 young faces throughout the vast territory served by the CSCNO.

The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence, providing a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students enrolled in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
